Common questions

The cues stopped when I locked my screen.

J Walk needs location permission (set to “Always” or “While Using”) to stay awake and keep playing cues when the screen is locked. Check that location access is granted in your device settings, and that you started a walk before locking the phone.

I can't hear the cues.

Cues play through your normal audio output and will briefly duck your music or podcast. Make sure your media volume is up. Cues play even when your phone is on silent.

How do tips work?

Tips are completely optional and handled by the App Store or Google Play. They unlock nothing — they're just a way to support the app. See our Privacy Policy for how purchases are handled.
